Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is the most famous tourist attraction site in Ratchaburi Province.  Here you can see the old traditional way of life and the selling and buying of fruits, local food, and vegetables from small boats, and to take a boat trip to see the traditional Thai houses.  Most of the people who live here are agriculturists, so along the boat trip you can see the orchards that grow several different kinds of fruits and vegetables for example, bananas, rose apples, papayas, guava, coconuts etc. There are more than 200 small canals that were dug by the local people to connect to each other and to share the water and irrigate their land. Moreover these small canals also became a route to take their agricultural products to the markets in neighboring provinces and Bangkok. It is quite an experience seeing Thai merchant culture in its purest form.
