You can visit The Grand Palace where King Rama the 1st actively begins to build in 1782 as an administrative center and as a residence for the king and the royal family. It was then reconstructed by King Rama 4th and King Rama the 5th during their reign and was influenced by Western art and seamlessly blends ornate architecture with genuine Thailand. The palace has been ranked in the top three of the world’s most beautiful palaces as can be evidenced by the many groups wishing to see the wonders among more than 218,400 sq. meters.
The Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew) is classified as a first class Royal monastery; a temple was built in the Grand Palace during the reign of King Rama The 1st in 1782. The temple used to be of royal ritual significance and enshrines the emerald Buddha which is the most important Buddha image in the country which signifies the holy faith for all Thai people. The Buddha statue is carved from a piece of jade with a size of 66cms. Moreover, you can see many other buildings which show you the development of Thai art and architecture, such as the Golden Pagodas, a model of Angkor Wat, Ubosot of the Emerald Buddha, Ho Phra Khanthararat and Phra Mondop, including 178 sectors of mural wall painting of the Ramayana story.
